Matt is a Commercialisation Associate at Cambridge Enterprise, the technology and knowledge transfer arm of the University of Cambridge. His role involves taking novel and exciting research from across the schools of physical sciences and looking at how it can be commercialised to have a positive real-world impact. During his time at Cambridge Enterprise Matt was part of forming a green energy materials accelerator program and has been heavily involved outreach activities, such as workshops and conferences, both inside and outside of the University.

Previously, Matt worked at a life science marketing company as an inbound marketing consultant. Here he learnt the basics of marketing and developed his ability to evaluate and identify markets for the products and services of life sciences companies. Prior to this Matt was working on a research project looking to create a model that would help to identify the origin of life on earth.

Matt has an MPhil from the University of Cambridge in Micro and Nanotechnology Enterprise and a BSc from the University of Strathclyde in Chemistry.
