There are three different i-Teams programmes at the University of Cambridge, Innovation i-Teams, Medical i-Teams and Development i-Teams. All look at how to take real Cambridge innovations into the outside world, but with different areas of focus.

Innovation i-Teams

Innovation i-Teams investigates the best market approach for commercialising a new invention. It is open to post-graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and research assistants from any department, including the Babraham Institute and the British Antarctic Survey. Formerly called Technology i-Teams, a typical syllabus is available here.

This year’s courses : Michaelmas 2024 (apply by September 30th) and Easter 2025 (apply by March 10th) 

Medical i-Teams

Medical i-Teams investigates the best market approach for commercialising a new medical or health-related technology. It is open to post-graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and research assistants from any department, including the Babraham Institute and the British Antarctic Survey. A typical syllabus is available here.

Development i-Teams

Development i-Teams (in partnership with the Centre for Global Equality) investigates how new innovations can be used to improve people’s lives in the developing world in a sustainable way. It is open to all under-graduate and post-graduate students, post-doctoral and staff researchers, and other university staff, from any department, including the Babraham Institute and the British Antarctic Survey. As well as Cambridge University staff and students, we also welcome applications from any member of CUTEC, Cambridge University Entrepreneurs and the Centre for Global Equality.

Applicants are asked to provide a CV and a covering letter explaining their interest in participating in the programme.
