• Participants from the schools of Physical Sciences, Technology, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, including PhDs, PostDocs, MBAs, Masters students and members of university staff

Resulting in:
Over 110 start-ups – typically 40% of projects
• 25 start-ups included i-Teams students or mentors
• Past i-Teams projects have raised over $300 million investment between them, including over 20 that have raised at least $2 million each, and 4 that have had successful exits
• Multiple business plan competition awards, including winners and runners-up in the Chris Abell PostDoc Business Plan competition, and past winners and runners-up of the CUE business creation competition
• Multiple Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise fellowships, CUE and CUTEC presidents and Cambridge Enterprise hires
• Typically 15-20 new industrial contacts per project (over 4000 in total!)
• The i-Teams programme won the 3rd Innovative Youth Incubator Awards 2018 in Washington DC
• Peer-reviewed conference papers on i-Teams were presented at EPIC 2019 and EPIC 2020

i-Teams at other Universities:
• Thanks to our outreach activities, i-Teams has now been launched at UEA, the Universities of Hertfordshire, Essex, Lancaster (PG-RISE) and Cardiff (iSolve), as well as, in 2023, the Technical University of Munich
• i-Teams was launched with our support at Universidad National de Cordoba (UNC) in Argentina in 2019. Through the 2021 GCRF-funded 3C programme, training and support was also provided to other universities across Argentina
• Nairobi i-Teams was launched at Strathmore University in 2022 thanks to EPSRC Partnership funding

• i-Teams was launched at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2023 and at the Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2024 as part of the two year ASEAN i-Teams programme, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office
